Absentee Ballot

Below is specific information for the upcoming Benton Community School District General Obligation Bond Referendum Vote for Facility Improvements on March 7, 2023.

Please remember if you are requesting an Absentee Ballot Form by mail, the request form must be completed and returned to your County Auditor's Office by Monday, February 20.

Absentee ballots are also available at your County Auditor's Office beginning February 15.

Benton County

  • Absentee ballots available Feb. 15 at Auditor's office
  • Notice to Voters (review this entire document for all information regarding voting)
    • Requesting an absentee ballot
      • Request form - State of Iowa Official Absentee Ballot Request Form or one can be mailed to you from the Auditor's office. Contact the Auditors office at 319-472-2365
      • Request forms due Monday, Feb. 20
      • Absentee ballots must be received by county auditor by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day (March 7)

Iowa County

  • Absentee ballots available Feb. 15 at Auditor's office
  • Notice to Voters (review this entire document for all information regarding voting)
    • Requesting an absentee ballot
    • Request forms are due Monday, Feb. 20
    • Absentee ballots must be received by county auditor by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day (March 7)

Tama County

  • Absentee ballots available Feb. 15 at Auditor's office
  • Notice to Voters (review this entire document for all information regarding voting)
    • Absentee ballots may be mailed to you upon request - 641-484-2740
    • Absentee ballots due to Auditors office until 5:00 p.m. on Monday, March 6

The county Auditor's offices in Benton Co., Tama Co. & Iowa Co. run and operate the election for the General Obligation Bond vote. Each County may have different rules and regulations.
