School Wellness Overview

District Information
The district's wellness policy is an important tool for parents and school staff to promote student wellness through nutrition and physical activity, prevent and reduce childhood obesity, and provide assurance that school meal nutrition guidelines meet the minimum federal school meal standards.

The USDA has implemented a new Smart Snack program that replaces the Iowa Healthy Kids Act.

Wellness Policy Review

The District Wellness Policy is reviewed annually by the School Wellness Committee. In addition, an assessment is conducted every three years for compliance.
