Norway Elementary
The Norway Elementary Center is
the largest of the Benton Community School’s elementary buildings. We currently
educate and challenge 320 students from preschool through sixth grade from the
surrounding communities of Norway, Watkins, Blairstown, Atkins, and Newhall. We
offer our students a vast variety of curricular components that concentrate
highly on balanced literacy, math, and writing. Norway also has a strong vocal
music and band program to help create well-rounded citizens.
Technology is becoming more and
more of a priority. With a 27 stationed networked computer lab and five
available LCD projectors for instructional use, as well as a variety of digital
photography and video equipment, Norway is well on its way to producing students
for the 21st Century.
Character is a dominant theme
that permeates the Norway building. Students and staff use the Six Pillars of
Character in their daily routines, engraining the true meaning of character in
their actions. At Norway Elementary, children come first, and our dedicated
staff works diligently to make sure all students are successful.
